Cookie policy
This text explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on nelerimeshur.com ("Nelerimeshur"). It is for information purposes; detailed notices on personal data processing should also be considered as they are published.
What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device by the site you visit. They may be used to recognize the site in the same session or on later visits, maintain security, and run core features. Similar purposes may also use technologies such as local storage.
Which cookies and technologies does Nelerimeshur use?
| Type | Purpose | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication | Keeping your session secure after you sign in; powering membership-related pages. | e.g. session cookies related to NextAuth. These cookies are not created unless you sign in. |
| Security | Technical measures to reduce abuse in sign-in and form flows. | Temporary technical cookies aligned with the authentication stack. |
| Preference (theme) | Remembering appearance preferences such as light / dark theme. | nelerimeshur-theme — First-party cookie named nelerimeshur-theme; value light or dark, roughly one-year duration, path=/, SameSite=Lax. The UI library may also keep the same preference in browser local storage under a matching key; the two stay in sync. |
| Measurement / analytics | Summarizing visits and interactions; improving content and performance. | Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js). When enabled, cookies or similar technologies may be used via Google domains. See the Google links below for details. |
Traffic may be measured on the site with Google Analytics 4. This service may use cookies, local storage, or pixel-like technologies via Google domains in your browser. For Google’s practices, see Cookies and similar technologies and the Privacy Policy. You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Preferences you save via Accept, Reject, or Manage options on the cookie banner are stored in browser local storage (an analytics flag; does not cover essential cookies). If you browse without choosing, the banner may reappear on navigation; closing with X is temporary for that page view only.
Third parties
When you use Sign in with Google, the authentication flow runs on Google’s domains; Google’s own cookie and privacy practices apply. Images shown on the site may load from external CDNs and image sources; whether those sources set cookies directly on your browser depends on the third party’s policy.
Duration and control
Session cookies usually expire at the end of the session or after a set period. You can delete cookies or restrict new ones in your browser settings; note that this may end your signed-in session or break some features.
Updates
We may update this page as our practices or legal requirements change. Material changes are preferably announced on the site.
